In conjunction with International Rose Day, each spring the Zonta Club of Lafayette chooses a Community Woman of Achievement for her outstanding giving of self, time and monies through out her life.

Ida Nezey

The Zonta Club of Lafayette has named Ida Nezey as their Woman of Achievement for 2007.  Ms. Nezey's accomplishments include working to create, guide and manage many projects.  She has volunteered tirelessly in the community and supported Lafayette Aging Network, Widowed Persons Support Group, Hospice of Acadiana, Immaculate Heart of May School, Lafayette Greenhouse, Alzheimer's Association and the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.  Ida will be honored at the Annual Woman of Achievement and Scholarship Banquet on Thursday, April 10 at an a la cart restaurant at 6:30 pm.
